PINS’ record label, the awesome Bella Union had a lovely two pence to stick in after our recent music video shoot with them:

“The new PINS video for Say To Me has had a fantastic reaction from everyone, the public and the media alike. It is beautifully shot and works perfectly as a monochrome accompaniment to the band’s dark and electrifying music”
Simon Raymonde, CEO Bella Union Records.

The thing about making a music video for a band like PINS is that those kids camped out in the blogosphere tend to have an opinion about everything that their favourite group touch, which is great! (As long as they say nice things about it, which they do because we’re awesome) Anyway its good to have feedback on our work, so here’s a sample of what those young-bloods with the keyboards had to say…

“The blistering and beautiful video from PINS could be an advert… not quite sure what for. What do you reckon? Cigarettes? Fishnet tights? Wine? Be warned it contains flashing images.”
Emma Brinnard, The Guardian

“PINS are out with another video, this time for their track, “Say To Me.” You know a video is going to be good when the first thing you see is a disclaimer.”
The Peel Music

“Forget Mad Men and that total bro of a camel that’s on the packets of Camel Blue, this new video from goth-chic Manc fourpiece PINS should be getting banned for how cool it makes smoking look.”
Luke Morgan Britton, The Line of Best Fit

“Take a second to imagine all that you might want from a new video by all girl Mancunian four piece PINS. Now take a good 3.59 minutes of your time to enjoy that exact video, with an added voyeuristic edge thanks mostly to the style of the shoot and of course the edit itself. Aside from the slow motion playfights it is of course worth remembering that Say To Me is the next single from the LUV U 4 LYF E.P.”

“Last week Manchester’s PINS released their debut EP proper via Bella Union. Tonight their tour starts in Liverpool. And today they’ve premiered a new, pretty damn sexy video for ‘Say To Me’, taken from the EP.”
Loud and Quiet

“Help! I’m melting, it’s going everywhere! No! Not the new tiles…
And with that, Manchester’s spook-psych princesses PINS have released a real sweet flickering Noir-style video for ‘Say To Me’.
Directed by Amy Watson of Maker Projects and featuring ciggies, flirty play fights and some weird powder (no, not drugs naughty, you’re so naughty…naughty) the video for ‘Say To Me’ is the first track taken from their forthcoming Bella Union EP.”
Manchester Scene Wipe

“PINS’ ‘Say To Me’ has an excellent, electrifying new video – taken from a forthcoming EP on @bellaunion”
